The AIC Project is an initiative to improve the quality of life for older adults who wish to stay in their rural homes and communities. The project is based on a successful model of community-based care in rural North Dakota, called Community of Care, which has been proven to help older adults live with autonomy and dignity.
The Aging Mastery Program is a fun and engaging education and behavior change incentive program for aging well. Developed by the National Council on Aging (NCOA), the self-paced program educates and engages older adults as they take manageable steps toward aging well. NCOA created the program to develop new expectations, norms, and pathways for adults to make the most of their gift of longevity.
Basic Beginnings is a research-based parent education program focused on raising young children from the prenatal period through 3 years of age. Research on brain development, adverse childhood experiences, toxic stress, parent-child attachment, prenatal and early childhood health, social and emotional development and support, plus other relevant topics are incorporated in the curriculum.
Fit & Strong is an exercise/behavior change program developed by researchers at the University of Illinois for older adults or those with lower extremity osteoarthritis. Fit & Strong blends a multiple component exercise program with group problem solving /education using a curriculum designed to facilitate arthritis symptom management, confidence in ability to exercise safely with arthritis, and commitment to lifestyle change.
This parent and family involvement program supports child development, school readiness, and healthy parenting. Parents will learn techniques to help their child develop academic, social, emotional, motor and language skills.

Parents Forever is a family transition program for parents as they continue to parent together through a divorce or separation, parents who are divorced and experiencing challenges with co-parenting, and for never-married parents when they decide to parent apart. Children need safety, care and freedom from parental conflict, as well as love and limits from both parents.
Powerful Tools for Caregivers (PTC) is an evidence-based, self-care education program for family caregivers. Originally developed caregivers of adults with chronic conditions, Powerful Tools for Caregivers has expanded the program to include classes for parents of children with special needs. This is not a support group but rather a 6-week education program where focus is on the caregiver and developing skills and knowledge for self-care.
Stepping On is a national evidence-based program designed to help older adults take control of their fall risks, explore coping behaviors and use safety strategies in everyday life.
Tai Ji Quan: Moving for Better Balance (TJQMBB) is a national evidence-based program consisting of an 8-form routine core with built-in exercise variations for community senior service providers, clinical rehabilitation, and research projects.
The Voices for Home Modification Project group comprises a diverse range of members, including individuals, architects, interior designers, gerontologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, emergency service providers, government agencies, and others. Their overarching mission is to elevate understanding and awareness regarding the pivotal role of home design in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with mobility limitations.
