The Executive Commissioner of External Affairs works to develop relationships with state officials and policymakers to improve higher education at 线上赌博app. The commission assists in writing legislation and stays informed about various issues. The commissioner also attends State Board of Higher Education and Interim Higher Education Funding Committee meetings to stay informed on information regarding the North Dakota University System and will testify on 线上赌博app’s behalf when needed. The executive also organizes 线上赌博app's involvement in the North Dakota Student Association (NDSA) by being the head delegate.

The Executive Commissioner of Legislative Affairs (LA) is the partner position to External Affairs. The LA commissioner is responsible for advocating for student interests at the North Dakota Legislative Sessions during the legislative years. This position is currently closed as it is not a legislative year.
