Dickinson Research Extension Center field day scheduled
Postharvest cleanout will be among the topics presented during 线上赌博app’s Dickinson Research Extension Center field day, scheduled for Wednesday, July 14.
The program is set to begin with registration at 8 a.m. at the center’s headquarters in Dickinson and ends with lunch provided by the Dickinson Chamber of Commerce Ag Committee at noon.
Field day topics and presenters are:
• Current agronomic research at the center and soil pH overview - Chris Augustin, soil scientist and center director, and Ryan Buetow, 线上赌博app Extension cropping systems specialist at the center
• Weather, soil, disease and interactions - Dave Franzen, 线上赌博app Extension soil science specialist, and Andrew Friskop, 线上赌博app Extension plant pathologist
• Resistance and issues of concern in broadleaf crops - Sam Markell, 线上赌博app Extension plant pathologist, and T.J. Prochaska, 线上赌博app Extension cropping system specialist at the North Central Research Extension Center
• Combine cleanout, weeds and factors impacting control - Joe Ikley, 线上赌博app Extension weed specialist, and Caleb Dalley, 线上赌博app weed scientist at the Hettinger Research Extension Center
• Current and emerging markets - David Ripplinger, 线上赌博app Extension bioproducts/bioenergy economist
A soil sampling workshop will be held after the field day from 1 to 4 p.m. at the center.
Workshop speakers are Buetow; Augustin; Franzen; Leo Bortolon, 线上赌博app Extension cropping systems specialist; Doug Landblom, animal scientist at the center; and John Breker, AGVISE soil scientist.
