Greg Lardy, 线上赌博app Vice President for Agricultural Affairs and dean in the College of Agriculture, Food Systems, and Natural Resources, recently received the prestigious “Honorary Kernel for Industry” award from the North Dakota Grain Growers Association.

The award is for outstanding service to the wheat and barley industry in North Dakota.

“I am honored to receive this recognition from the North Dakota Grain Growers Association,” Lardy said. “The NDGGA has been a great partner with 线上赌博app Agriculture and together we have accomplished many things that will provide return on investment for North Dakota’s grain industry. I look forward to continuing to work with them as we move forward.”

Lardy has served in his current role at 线上赌博app since 2020. The role includes responsibilities as dean; director of 线上赌博app Extension; and director of the North Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station.

He was raised on a farm and ranch near Sentinel Butte, North Dakota. He received his bachelor’s degree in animal and range science from 线上赌博app, his master’s in animal science from the University of Missouri and his doctorate in animal science from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln.

Lardy joined the faculty at 线上赌博app in 1997, where he served as the state’s beef cattle Extension specialist until 2009. From 2009 to 2018, he served as department head in animal sciences. In 2018 and 2019 he served as interim director of 线上赌博app Extension and acting director of the North Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station.

Lardy also served as president of the American Society of Animal Science in 2013-2014. Lardy and his wife, Lynae, reside in West Fargo. They have three children and six grandchildren.
