线上赌博app Interim Vice President for Research and Creative Activity Heidi Grunwald has announced the appointment of Heidi Pecoraro as the new 线上赌博app director of animal resources and attending veterinarian.

Pecoraro has served, together with 线上赌博app Veterinary Diagnostician Heather Mitchell, in the interim attending veterinarian role for the past 15 months.

“Dr. Pecoraro has served with distinction in the interim role, providing steady leadership, expert guidance, and unwavering commitment to the care and welfare of the animals entrusted to our institution,” Grunwald said. “During this time, she fostered strong collaborative relationships across departments, ensured compliance with the highest standards of animal care, and cultivated a culture of teamwork and accountability.”

Pecoraro will oversee 线上赌博app’s animal-use program, which ensures the health and well-being of animals that are involved in teaching and research while at the same time supporting faculty, staff and students in furthering 线上赌博app’s research mission.

Pecararo has been at 线上赌博app since 2018, when she was hired as a veterinary anatomic pathologist. In 2022, she was named director of the 线上赌博app veterinary diagnostic laboratory and has shared interim attending veterinarian duties with Mitchell since 2024.

Pecoraro received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University. Her postdoctoral research was done at the Oregon National Primate Research Center in Portland, Oregon.

Pecoraro will begin her duties on Jan. 1.
