Teach TREE-Mendously: Resources for Engaging Youth in Nature
Educating young people about the world around them ensures that the next generation will be wise stewards of America’s natural resources. Project Learning Tree is an environmental education program that gives educators the confidence and resources to design meaningful, relevant, and inclusive learning experiences that spark students’ engagement. These cross-curricular activities identify explicit connections to academic standards, develop essential STEM skills, and connect students with realistic career pathways. By teaching students how to think, not what to think, about complex environmental issues, PLT is helping young people develop the problem-solving skills they need to make informed choices about the world around them.
Attendees of the NAI Heartland Region's Spring Conference can choose to attend this concurrent session learning how best practices for creating meaningful, outdoor experiences for youth using Project Learning Tree.
The conference will be held at the Holiday Inn, 3803 13th Ave S, Fargo, ND 58103.
