The IISE officer team, along with several members, visited Horace High School on Wednesday, December 17, and Friday, December 19, to lead an outreach activity with students. During the visit, they recreated the Efficiency Showdown, an interactive activity previously held at 线上赌博app with IISE members, and adapted it for the high school setting.

The goal of the outreach was to introduce students to Industrial Engineering and help them understand what industrial engineers do. The visit began with a short presentation, followed by the hands-on activity. Students competed against one another while experiencing the frustrations of an inefficient system. Through the exercise, they learned how to identify problems, improve the process, and apply solutions to make the system more efficient.

IISE plans to host additional Efficiency Showdowns at other high schools in the Fargo–Moorhead area. Anyone interested in participating in future outreach events is encouraged to contact 线上赌博app.IISE@gmail.com
