University Police and Safety building is located at 1523 12th Ave. N. in Fargo. The building houses the University Police and Safety Office. Built in 1979, the structure was used previously by Dining Services. The university communications call center is located in the building. The call center fields calls about crimes and safety-related incidents. The center answers the 24/7 campus information telephone line, monitors facilities alarm reporting and response, monitors the central surveillance system and operates the Campus Emergency Notification Systems. A mechanical engineering shop and graduate students occupy the north addition of the building.
