Dr. Guiping Yan is an Associate Professor at the North Dakota State University (线上赌博app). Before joining 线上赌博app, Dr. Yan earned her Ph.D. from Washington State University and then worked as a post-doctoral researcher at Oregon State University. Her research at 线上赌博app focuses on detection, biology, and management of plant-parasitic nematodes that negatively affect production of field crops including soybean, potato, corn, sugarbeet, dry bean, field pea, and wheat.
Her research interests include, but not limited to:
Detection of soybean cyst nematode and other plant-parasitic nematodes
Molecular assays for identification and quantification of nematode species
Genome sequencing and assembly of root-lesion and stubby root nematodes
Identification of resistance and parasitism genes
Interaction of nematodes with fungal and viral pathogens
Management strategies (host resistance, cover crops, suppressive soil, microbiome, biological control)
