My research and extension efforts are aimed at development and implementation of sound, economically viable, environmentally compatible tools and strategies for managing key insect pests of sugarbeet and other regionally important field crops.
Sugarbeet insect pest management is my primary focus; however, I also have expertise in corn insect pest management.
In addition to conventional control tools (e.g., chemical insecticides), I also am pursuing insect control alternatives, such as trap crops, cover crops, microbial control, and host plant resistance.
